Nice story! The sheath reminds me a bit of Excalabur's from King Arthur. I just have one question about that name. Is that a real translation of one of tolkien's languages or is it made up?

It's actually the non-Frenchified name for Excalibur. Based heavily on the Welsh Caladfwlch. So the sword is pretty much Excalibur thrown into LotR.
Not canon I know, but I've been reading a lot of Arthuriana lately and wanted a cool weapon for my players that wasn't another Glamdring.
